Spiritual Realignment and Practical Empowerment: A Summary of the East African Mission
The recent mission through Kenya and Uganda, led by the Glory Train Ministry, focused on two primary objectives: the spiritual restoration of church leadership and the practical empowerment of local communities. Rather than a standard series of revival meetings, the tour was characterized by a call to accountability and a move toward integrating faith with community development.
Kenya: Restoring Ministerial Foundations

In Kenya, the focus was primarily on “reclaiming” the integrity of the ministry. In Narok, the teaching centered on the “Upper Room” protocol, drawing a parallel between the early church’s need to replace Judas and the modern need for leaders to reclaim spiritual ground lost to apathy or compromise. This resulted in a significant period of repentance among the gathered bishops and pastors, followed by reports of physical healings and restored focus within the clergy.
In Kisumu, the mission emphasized generational continuity. The team conducted targeted breakout sessions to address the specific needs of different groups, while the presence and endorsement of Archbishop Winnie Owitie provided a bridge between the established church leadership and the new spiritual initiatives.
Uganda: From Passive Observation to Active Mission
The work in Uganda’s West Nile region—specifically Arua, Paidha, and Zombo—was defined by a transition from “gazing” to “acting.” The teaching challenged the local church to move past the limitations of their background and the stigma of their region and to lay hold of God’s purpose and calling for them.

This leg of the trip was notable for its multidimensional impact: from the ministers, the woman and the youth and its emphasis on tangible support through:
- Mobility for God’s work: The ministry provided motorcycles to local pastors to assist their work in remote areas.
- Economic Empowerment: A vocational training program was launched in Paidha, supported by the donation of sewing machines, to provide young women with sustainable skills.
- Societal Engagement: The mission engaged multiple sectors of society, including youth, university students, and marketplace professionals. This culminated in a public acknowledgment by the Mayor of Paidha, who joined local clergy in a formal dedication of the region to God.
A Unified Theme
Throughout both countries, the underlying character of the trip was one of spiritual realignment. The mission aimed to move the conversation beyond emotional experience and toward a disciplined, surrendered walk with God—one that impacts both the internal character of the believer and the external health of the community.
